Water treatment products
Our unique technologies realize high earthquake resistance, economic efficiency and long service life.
Sludge collectors are not usually seen by the public but are indispensable for water supply and sewage systems necessary for our lives.
In the settling tanks in water treatment plants, dust and sand contained in influent water settle and accumulate at the bottom of the tanks. The sludge collectors are used to collect and discharge the sludge. Conventional systems had large and complicated structures where link chains with many scraping blades were rotated in water.
The monorail type sludge collector is designed to remove sludge with the upper unit with scraping blades on the rail laid on the tank bottom. The upper unit is moved forward and backward by the drive unit through the link chain. To prevent the sludge from being stirred up, the scraping blades are set upright when moved toward the discharge pit and down when returned. Since the structure is simple and the main body is on the tank bottom, it is less affected by earthquakes, and it has not been seriously damaged by the past large earthquakes. This equipment is attracting attention for renovation for earthquake-resistant structures of water treatment plants.
