Creative Disaster Prevention Products protect human life

The land mass of Japan, which lies on four plates moving in four different directions, is responsible for around 20% of the world's major earthquakes.
Global warming has led to more torrential rains in the rainy season and typhoons, resulting in more floods and mudslides. We deliver a range of disaster prevention products in the hope of increasing the number of lives saved from natural disasters that are difficult to avoid.

津波避難タワー(タスカルタワー)

“Tasukaru Tower” Tsunami Evacuation Tower

TUSKAL Tower, a steel-framed tsunami evacuation tower, is an evacuation facility for areas where there are no high ground or buildings from which to evacuate from a tsunami. As a pioneer in the field of tsunami evacuation towers, we are developing facilities that reflect our unique design philosophy, including a tsunami wave force verification experiment conducted at the Disaster Prevention Research Institute of Kyoto University.

垂直起立式可動ゲート 垂直起立式可動ゲート

Vertically rising flood gate

Watertight gate with vertically rising water-stop board to protect against overflow caused by floods, tsunamis, and other disasters.
During normal times, the water-stop board is housed inside the structure, which keeps the height of the structure low.
This provides a wide space and less impact on the landscape.

  • Disaster-prevention bed frame

    Disaster-prevention bed frame

Disaster-prevention bed frames ensure a safe space with a steel frame even if a wooden house collapses due to an earthquake. A bed can be placed inside to protect life and reduce damage in the event of a disaster while sleeping.
It can be installed within the existing house, while living in it, and in a shorter period of time than seismic retrofitting.

  • Disaster rescue tool kit

    Disaster rescue tool kit

The Disaster Rescue Tool Kit, which includes a crowbar, pickaxe, jack, cutting tools, first-aid kit, and other essential items for post-disaster rescue operations in a portable case with wheels, was developed based on lessons learned from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. It has been adopted by many government and municipal offices.

  • Flooding water pressure experience device frames

Flooding water pressure experience device frames

Evacuation training device that allows the user to experience the power of water pressure during flooding and the resistance and difficulty of walking through water currents.
When opening a door in the event of flooding, water pressure of about 100 kg is applied to the door when the water outside is 50 cm deep, making it almost impossible for an adult male to open the door.
